I value those Friends who are "drawn to the gaps" that exist between our divisions--especially because so often, it's these Friends who have significant relationships within each group, which in turn lead to new relationships across group lines.

Blessings,
Liz Opp, The Good Raised UpLiz Opphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09802348848085930901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4790396293521449566.post-85469685623480226672010-04-28T23:21:25.319-04:002010-04-28T23:21:25.319-04:00Every step a moment,

The comparison is only
for the education & enlightenment of each other, learning words for what we feel and experience.
I appreciate your words, and your expressions of
your experiences-- both with people, with God and with all manner of life. Blessings on you Ashley, and thank you.Aliviahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14329295581168412157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4790396293521449566.post-27544782911416937732010-04-28T23:12:25.697-04:002010-04-28T23:12:25.697-04:00You are brilliant. =)Sometimes I think you can exp...You are brilliant. =)Sometimes I think you can express me and my thoughts better than I can - or you express things that are true for me that I had never thought of. Perhaps because of our similar experience of going from evangelical Friends to liberal...
I love where you say, "we are afraid of talking about God because we fear that our experiences do not match." I don't think I ever named it, but I had this fear for a long time growing up. I saw and heard how other people lived out their faith and I thought mine had to match. If it didn't, well surely something was wrong with me! But of course, you're right, we're all different with different relationships with God.
How beautifully stated.

And I hope you go to the YAF concert because I was hoping to see you there! But I guess I'll see you at the women's conference anyway. =)Aimeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04570718941895225222noreply@blogger.com
