I am going to trust that the trains will run relatively on time for my trip to Salem, Oregon this weekend. It has been way too long since I have been to Freedom Friends Church, so am going for a visit. It appears that Peggy is all fired up about patriarchy, so maybe we will get a chance to talk about that. I am also having dinner with Professor H tomorrow. Here's hoping he has some good news for me about getting our book published.
I also wanted to say thanks to everyone who has posted, emailed, or called saying that you like the blog. Every time I click on the "publish post" button, I think that this is the post that is going to make all of my friends and family hate me and/or think I am just plain crazy. You have all been so supportive and for that I am grateful.
And because I've already included a picture of Albus on the blog, it seems only fair to have a picture of Bella too. Don't worry, Rachel, I do not plan to become some sort of crazy blogging cat lady; this is the last cat picture I plan to post for a while. This picture was also taken by the best pet sitter and dog walker around, Kiersten.
"An adequate life . . . might be described as a life which has grasped intuitively the nature of all things, and has seen and refocused itself to this whole. An inadequate life is one that lacks this adjustment to the whole nature of things—hence its twisted perspective, its partiality, its confusion." Douglas V. Steere, describing the life of Thomas R. Kelly, in A Testament of Devotion.
You cats are so cute!!! If you post more pictures I promise not to call you the crazy cat lady :)
