Fives

Robin M had this "meme of fives" on her blog and it seemed like fun, so I thought I'd give it a try.

“The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.”

1) What were you doing 5 years ago? I was just finishing up the season working in the costume shop for Shakespeare Santa Cruz.

2) What are 5 things on your to-do list for today? Laundry, work on job applications, make dinner, start packing for my trip to Anchorage, and knit a baby hat.

3) What are 5 snacks you enjoy? String cheese, popcorn, ginger candy, Brown Cow yogurt, and Newman's Own dark chocolate peanut butter cups.

4) What are five things you would do if you were a billionaire? I would give 5% each to Freedom Friends Church and University Friends Meeting (I think that would take care of the building problems!), pay off my student loans and my parents' mortgage, buy a big house with a big garden and try to get friends to come live with me (I think free rent would convince a lot of them), give enough to ROOTS and other shelters that everyone in Seattle who needed a place to sleep would have one, and give enough to Seattle Girls' School that every girl who wanted to go would have a full scholarship.

5) What are five jobs you’ve had? Radio and television intern, sales clerk, gift wrapper for a toy store, SAT prep teacher, and judicial clerk.

I'm not going to tag anyone (everyone I know has enough to do already), but feel free to answer the questions if you want.

  1. Ashley-- what kind of work did you do as a radio station intern? That sounds like it COULD be fun, or really bad.

I think I will take up the fives meme.

  2. My job as a radio intern was great, actually. I did everything but talk. It was my first real job in high school and I made minimum wage ($4.75 an hour). I would sit in the booth playing the songs and then get the DJs when it was time for them to say something.
